At the time of writing I look up out of the skylight out of the eyrie in which I write and the grey of the sky is relieved only by a black cloud which is moving into view. Three of the nine county championship games are currently delayed by rain. So what better moment, given that plenty of you will be empty-handed, to reprise some of Michael’s writing about places which we featured over the last month on Round The Wicket.
The first piece is on his favourite of all Test grounds, Trent Bridge
The second is on the great festival venue of Chesterfield
The third is more of a lament than a celebration of Headingley
Look out next week for wise words on Old Trafford.
